Here is the short version of our vision …

We want to be a grace filled people, encountering God, to transform the world

• Grace filled - in that we are really grateful for His grace shown to us and want to demonstrate this in worship to God and our attitude toward others.
• Encountering God – We expect people to personally encounter God. Scripture plays an important part in shaping our worldview to His.
• To transform the world – We want to create a space and place from which people, who have encountered God, embrace the call to disciple nations, establishing His Kingdom in this earth, to bring wholeness and blessing to all peoples and communities. We expect this to take place in our places of work and life. We gather together, to make our scattering more effective.

We are the first to acknowledge that we are just learners, (also called “disciples”) and have not created the perfect church. We do know that God is preparing His bride (the universal church) for the wedding of the ages.  At The Courtyard Church we simply want to be on that journey of getting prepared and ready for the return of Jesus.

We highly value the manifest presence of God and seek to “set up” church meetings to attract the presence of God, as opposed to just giving Him a slot in the service, or reducing the presence of God to mere emotionalism.
